Since 1996, Switchback Grille has successfully hosted both large and small tour groups.
Our tour group program consists of several options that give tour operators a great deal of flexibility when planning trips to Zion. Below is an overview of how we serve tour groups for each meal segment.
Tour Groups are invited to select from one of three menus. These include our daily restaurant menu, Tour Group menu or catering menu.
The daily restaurant menu is for clients who would like to offer their guests a full "off the menu” dining experience. This option allows guests to select from our daily restaurant menus, which include appetizers, salads, entrées, desserts and alcoholic beverages. Given the complexity of our menus, groups over 12 people that select this option may not all dine together. Rather, individual reservations for tables of 4 or 6 people are required and need to be made in advance by the tour leader. This is an a la carte option and is billed accordingly.
Tour Groups that would like an "off the menu” dining option, but who have more strict budget requirements may select our Tour Menu. This option allows guests to select from a limited menu, which includes many of our most popular items. The Tour Menu includes a soft drink, salad, entrée and dessert. Like the daily restaurant menu, individual reservations for your guests need to be made in advance by the tour leader.
Groups that require dining together, may do so by selecting from one of our buffet menus or by selecting a pre-set menu that features one or two entrée choices. When selecting this option, a guaranteed minimum guest count is required 72 hours in advance.
Wine, beer and liquor are available from the bar at an additional charge and must be served per Utah State dispensing rules.
Menu items are subject to change per market fluctuation and seasonal availability.
Switchback does not serve lunch on a daily basis; however, we are happy to provide lunch to groups of 20 or more through our catering department. Our catering coordinator will be happy to assist you with all of your lunch requirements. Box Lunches are available and must be arranged for 72 hours in advance. Minimum Guarantees are required.
For breakfast, Switchback provides tour groups with an extensive buffet. Our Breakfast buffet features house baked pastries, an array of fresh fruits, juices, coffees and teas, cereals, yogurts and a wide selection of hot breakfast favorites.
Standard Restaurant Bar Service
As a Utah State Liquor Licensee, Switchback Grille is authorized to serve wine, beer and liquor provided it strictly adheres to all Utah State liquor laws. Switchback’s liquor license accommodates most groups that desire an alcoholic beverage with their meal. This license requires patrons to be seated at their table in order to be served. Patrons must also remain seated at their table to consume their alcoholic beverage(s). They may not walk about and mingle with drink in hand. For groups where socializing with beverages in hand is desired, a private space is required and the private party bar service requirements apply and a catering contract is required.
Private Space is available for an additional charge. Private function space is arranged through the catering department and requires a catering contract.
